It was a crazy time... living on State St and partying around the clock. Magic Mill was still open and excitement filled the air. My Friend Lepus was a brief period of collaborative songwriting between Rhett and myself, and Rhett and Evan before things fell apart for good. The song "Beachwood" was one of Rhett and Evan's, and I feel like it really signaled a shift, both in the growth of their writing and the conscious or unconscious realization that things were changing and the future could go one of two ways. This was our only take of this song as a full band that I'm aware of.
